Under the provisions of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment Act. No: 21 of 1985, (Ministry of Labour) all Sri Lankan migrant workers who secures overseas employment should register with the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment prior to his /her departure from the country. Upon this registration, the migrant worker is qualified for some benefits, and for the purpose of this registration, following documents should be issued by the foreign employer to the recruiting agent in Sri Lanka.
